It's easy to blame the FCC but there's clearly no significant 
consumer interest. That'll make replacing hundreds of millions of 
analog radios virtually impossible. I think they realize what an 
uproar ending analog would cause. My experience this week with 
secondaries indicates to me even the largest companies don't care 
about additional channels. This is now day 2 of silence on a station 
in Enfield, CT. The HD-2 is running pumping out titles and artists 
but no audio.

With no hope of pure digital operation the digital will be saddled 
with crippling low power in perpetuity. Combine that with crippling 
blandness in programming and the duck is dead.
