You are absolutely correct... but with the analog, we're talking about 
existing radios that people have had for years.

With HD, we're talking about something *new* that the potential listeners 
have just purchased... being returned because of these kinds of faults. You, me, 
and most everyone in this Forum would know full well it's not the radio's 
fault... but the public doesn't. They hear that, they return the radio... never to 
bother with it again. Then they tell others.
