Trust me. It's very annoying. WBOS, Boston, was/is processing
separately. About 20 miles out of the city I had to lock the Kenwood
in analog. I had a very high quality, high powered audio system in my
Jeep. The difference in audio density and the gain and loss of highs
was unbearable. If you can't do it the way Bob Orban recommends, it
isn't worth doing. I don't believe there's a way to gently blend
grunge processed audio and lightly processed audio with extended highs.

If the receiver is stationary and high quality you can get away with
it. Put it in a car and move and you've got major problems. One day I
hope to hear the Sangean component unit with WFCR, Amherst MA.
(University of Massachusetts). It's lightly processed in analog, HD-1
and HD-2. No one stocks the unit anywhere nearby and I'm not about to
buy one. No need, since I already have a receiver and stations with
dead secondaries. The station pumping out titles and artists is going
on its 6th hour of no audio. I'll bet if I call them it'll be back in
4 or 5 minutes. I'm tired of radio station voicemail for today so I'm
not going to waste my time. I did sadly discover that what I thought
might be the area's crisis station has no one to answer the phone.
Even the news department.

It's terribly disappointing to see an advertising/PR firm I used to
respect stoop to the levels of deception they have. Times have
changed since David Ogilvy wrote brilliant copy for Rolls-Royce. Now
their stuff is worthy of a Yugo.

I can't use CD quality because it's inaccurate. Only those discs that
follow the Red Book standard can use the logo. It would be like
putting the THX logo on the current batch of IBUZ table radios.
