Jim continues:

That "100 milliwatt" level came directly to me from the
receiver marketing guru at IBOC. He said they were
expecting first sillicon on a new design "by February"
which should go from the present level (he was closed-
mouth about what that level is) down to 100 mW. He
seemed furious with me that I might reveal anything he
said and so point-blank said he would tell me nothing
more. Such a shame. Head-in-sand attitude, from my
viewpoint.

Now - isn't it legal to reverse-engineer or whatever
it takes to make your own receiver? I understand
there are no patents on this, only royalties to use their
products for generation or reception. I am not as certain
about that statement as I am about the 100 mW power
level.

Updates such as yours, Scott, are most valuable.
