It is with heavy heart I must inform you that Jim Paulson has passed away.
He was on location when he collapsed on Tuesday, February 13th.

For over forty years Jim Paulson has enjoyed a career as one of Canada's top
broadcasters. He was best known for his shows on AM 740 radio and his
promotional work for the station at major music events throughout southern
Ontario.

A personable, dynamic freelance Host/Commentator he has worked with or
interviewed them all from Frank Sinatra to Tony Bennett, Sophia Loren, Eddie
Fisher, Raquel Welch, Lou Rawls, Charlton Heston, etc. in the entertainment
world to Paul Newman, Jackie Stewart, Mario Andretti, Richard Petty etc. in
his other world of motor sports which Jim has presented for about as long as
he has been in broadcasting. Whether asked to M.C. a Molson Indy or an
Oakville Jazz Festival he was totally at ease and did it with a fine sense
of humour as well with no thoughts of retiring.

Jim was respected by Artists and Audiences that he has worked for and with
over the years. Jim originated from Edmonton, Alberta and spent time on
CJCA, Vancouver and CKRC, Winnipeg. When Jim moved to Toronto, he joined
CKEY and then worked on CHFI, CING FM-108 and finally CHWO - AM 740.
