[BC] to 'HD antenna' or not

OK, here's the deal

lightning (we think) took out our main antenna on one of the FM's last fall;
we've been on the aux antenna since (long story, delays in getting a climber
who turned out not to know what to look for, the bad weather on top of bad
weather)

anyway, tower crew will go up Monday to take a good look, open line, we will
TDR line, and possibly end up with the antenna on the ground

at that point, I have to make a decision:  repair or replace

the present antenna is 12-13 years old (ERI low-power 6 bay)

what's the extra cost of an antenna set up for HD vs a 'plain' one ?

cause if we're looking at major rebuild, I'd just as soon recommend
replacing with HD version
