While I think someone could be burned with the steak, I believe they would be burn AT the stake. :)
While I'm at it, could someone explain to me why Radio can't seem to cross promote HD radio correctly? I still don't have an HD RX. But I hear the promos on the local Clear Channels...
"Channels between the channels" "More programming" "More music, more talk" "Not from aliens"
How about telling us WHAT music? What talk? If you told me there was a classical channel out there I would buy one. Otherwise I'm thinking "Gee, more 10 minute uninterrupted commercial sets with perfect audio between the same song I heard last hour... thanks but no thanks" Is anyone promoting what there is to get with one of these receivers? Would anyone buy a billboard that said something like "WXYZ plays some type of music"?
I would think radio could promote itself better.
Has anyone analyzed why XM does get people to pay for what they can get for free? If I would pick my main reason to pay $40 a month for all mine, it's simple: Depth. I hear songs on their channels I haven't heard since I was a kid. Our stations play the same 40 into the ground. The same 40 classic rock songs over and over again on that station, the same 40 oldies on that station. I out grow top 40 when I hit puberty. Why can't radio?
Okay, I feel better now. Thanks.

>Yup! Rather outrageous, yes? I suppose if the idea of today's Internet was discussed 30 years ago, people would think the idea is nuts. I suppose if the idea of sending pictures and sound through the air, then to a display in your living room was discussed back in the civil war years, you would be burned at the steak!
