Rich, how about offering your services to *train* those future salespeople?
Obviously, those Sales Managers would do much better being able to hire people
who have "learned from the master" than to hire the master, himself! After
all, there's only *one* of you to go around... but if you were to *train* people,
then your influence and expertise could be expanded through them... and you'd
probably make far more money (and have a greater level of satisfaction by
having spread your knowledge) by training people to do Sales the right way than
by doing Sales yourself.
Seriously.
Maybe you've already thought of this, and dismissed it?
