IIRC the 71 job series was considered clerical.  R20 was for Broadcast 
Specialist.  In my case, the job entailed humping a recorder into the boonies of 
South Vietnam as an Army journalist doing features and what we fondly referred to 
as "hometowners."  

The folks I knew at AFVN were also 71R20's.
