Just gotta say this, I remember calling Harris about a 20H3 problem and
the kid answering the phone said he didn't know anything about the
transmitter because they were so old.

You reminded me how much I hated the IPA and PA bias adjustments on the
FM-20H3. You had to cheat the interlock on the left-hand door and reach in,
over the ~ 2 kV IPA plate/PA screen supply to tweak the knobs on the bias
supply shelf. One faint spell or loss of balance and you could be toast.
Of all the AM and FM rigs I have worked on, that's the only one I really
hated. There may be a special place in Hell for the person that decided
that the IPA chassis would not be removable. I can envision some miserable
wretch, changing IPA sockets for eternity. Heh, heh.
