Unless you use a very small loop with a preamp, and calibrate it yourself.

True, however, we have the same issue as we do
with the spectrum analyzer. The antenna efficiency
vs frequency. With the FIM we recalibrate at each
frequency. Using a random antenna, loop, etc. with
a SA or receiver we do not account for the antenna's
gain/loss with changing frequency.
