[BC] Uniden BC 185 scanner issues

I should have noted that the "transformer" I was talking about is a 
small audio looking one up near the display on the main board. It's the 
voltage step up transformer for the VF display. When the cap goes bad, 
the display dims and then vanishes. Your would think that this would 
only effect the display, but the receiver quits receiving when this 
happens. Can't tell you why.
