I've done the same, but in this case I need to replace some lamps that are
getting dim, not that they have failed outright.  The LEDs seem to get dim
first.  I put in a new lamp and it will work fine.  We are not really happy
with the quality of the switches, as it seems too easy to bend the bottom
lamp contact.
