GoDaddy is reliable and cheap but I agree with Jim on going the bare-bone
road with them.  I've also used Network Solutions which are reliable but not
the cheapest in the world.

Regarding hosting.

I too have a site on GoDaddy.com and also a site on Pair.com

Both have two features I consider very important:  "up" time is
seemingly at 100%, and time it takes to get the site back to the
viewer is of the order of a second or so:  fast.

But GoDaddy charges way too much for stats so I go the
bare-bones route with them.  Pair has everything rolled into the
package for not all that much more.  I use GoDaddy for our
church site (fpcor.org) and Pair for my own (tonnesotware.com).

Both are easy to work with and lotsa storage space is pretty
inexpensive.
