How far do you want to debate audio quality? If we accept
the definition of distortion as anything that modifies the
content from its original form then compression, EQ,
limiting, A/D conversion all affect quality. This we can
debate endlessly.

Propagation can also distort audio, either in RF or
audio (acoustic) form. Dancing is more to the beat and
rhythm than vocals. We can actually use fades to our
advantage i.e. the pace of the dance, body movements, etc.

I would not consider fading an issue in my dancing, nor
would it adversely affect my comprehension and adoration
if it were Dr. Laura I were listening to.
