1230, 1240, 1340, 1400, 1450 and 1490 remain Class Cs in the 48 U.S. 
States.

These frequencies may be assigned Class B stations outside of the 48.

There is an application for 50 kW on one of the higher (former) Class C 
frequencies in Alaska.

I stand corrected on my statement. Thanks for the ifnormation.
 
I assume there are also other contributions that could be made to the noise 
factors regarding interference to AM signals and the reduction of service.
