Two years ago at NAB, the big news was that Continental and Nautel had joined
forces. Nautel transmitters would be marketed as Continentals in the USA, and
Continentals sold as Nautels in Canada and elsewhere. Did this deal go west?

But watch
out you never know when "We'll be back".
But will it be too late? With domestic production discontinued six
years ago, to bring Continental back would mean fighting through the
current crop of manufactures. I liked Continental then, thought you
guys built solid AM transmitters. Now, with the disappearance of
Continental, I've been sold on Nautel. For me to consider a new
Continental transmitter, you are gonna have to build and support them
better than Nautel in my case. What I'm trying to say is that
Continental created a vacuum that's been filled for the most part. Do
you think they could successfully get back into domestic AM production
now? It would be a tough row to hoe.
