They exist. Try 
http://www.kandelelectronics.com/manufacturers/582/  (Amplifier 
Research). You can use
any frequency synthesized signal generator with an external AM 
modulation input for the signal source. When choosing power, remember 
that 1 kW is really 4 kW peak, 5 kW if you want 125% modulation.
