[BC] Broadcast Engineers = wimps?

I had to do it once Mike. It's not haunted me because I knew where I was
going and my plans. I don't believe in bridge burning either save this one
time in my career of 40 some odd years. I literally slammed down the letter
of resignation and walked out. Nothing has ever came of it because and I
won't be returning to the "majors". I'm consulting now, doing voice work out
of my home studio and live outside a small town. However, I totally support
your thinking here Mike. Even though this G.M. deserved this (he's lost many
since my leaving in 12/99...ratings included) I knew what I was doing and
the point in my life when I was doing it. I won't bore you with the details
or why I did what I did. Suffice it to say it's ancient history and my music
director and I are working together once again but from different locations.
Love the new technology and respect people who know what they're doing. How
do such BOZOS get to the top? Nuff said.

One more point before I leave you. It's probably not as much a problem in
the "talent" end of the business as it is in the engineering side. There was
a misunderstanding back in 1968 when I was on the engineering side of the
business and I'm still hearing about it. :)
