[BC] Odd PMD-660 problem

Hello:

We bought our first PMD660 and two CF memory cards about a year ago to try 
the system out. We have since bought more PMD660's and CF cards.

What we are finding is, the recently purchased CF cards will not format in 
either the newest PMD660 machines or the one that's a year old. These CF cards 
will format when inserted in the card reader/writer connected to our desktop. 
Putting the now formatted cards into any PMD660 generates a message that says 
Unformat. 

At this point I got out my spare CF card, known good, and found that it works 
fine in either the new PMD660's or our year-old machine. This experiment 
would suggest that I have a bad production run of CF chips. BTW the newest CF 
chips are same make and model as the CF chips I bought a year ago. These are ma

by Delkin Devices, CFX01Gp8D1-DVAAG00. 1 GB.

Has anyone out there ever seen this problem before? If you bought a cache of 
spare CF chips recently, you might want to try them out in your PMD660 to be 
sure that they work ;-)
