Paul--
Can't help you with the Burke, but as far as logging goes, we...
1) On the back of our analog TX log form we have two columns, headed
"Test Received" and "Test Sent". Under "Received", we simply log the
time and the originating station (LP1, LP2, or NWS). Under "Sent",
simply the time we sent the test. We then attach the printout from our
TFT unit to the TX log. The printout shows what was received, so no need
to write that on the log.
2) We have a plain old stenographer's notebook, the kind you can get at
any office supply store or even Walgreen's. We write down for each test
the date, time received, time logged, source, whether the activity was
scheduled (our test) or unscheduled (tests received) and the operator's
initials. Very simple. I've been here almost 9 years, and we've used the
same notebook even longer than that.
3) For activations, we simply attach the printout to the analog TX log.
On days when we have a lot of severe weather activity, there simply
isn't time to do anything more than that.
Simple is good...
