Unlike Windows, Rivendell is much more an appliance.
It's absolutely NOT necessary to "learn Linux" to point and click.
Oh, it may be slightly easier if one knows a bit about directory
structure, RAID, and such, but it's not necessary and some amount
of "paid support" is available for such. ( hint hint )
The prudent engineer will WANT to learn as much about any and all
systems under his watch, but it isn't strictly mandatory.
In fact, making Riv even more appliance-like ( if that's possible )
is scheduled for discussion in the very immediate future.
( like tomorrow evening, or there-a-bouts )
It's on the agenda ( OK, *my* agenda ) to do an "install" CD for it.
Pop this in the CD ROM, boot it up, answer a few simple questions,
and run it !
Of course, I have to do that between paying gigs......
