Off subject but your last made me think of another fella from
Collins/Continental by the name of Dave Chenowith, Bout the smartest
man I ever met. I'd only been in radio a few years when I met him at
a one day engineers summit n Grand Junction, Colo. Maybe 1995/6

Rex:

Dave Chenoweth and wife Dorothy have retired to Longview, TX were he has
become a avid gardner and small farmer. He has a tractor and a large garden at
his home in Longview and they also have a karge farm outside of town. He
doesn't want to work on transmitters any more but is ramdomly playing with
computer programs, rebuilding tractor engines and keeping active. He retire
from Continental at 70.

I agree with all you statements a very nice person and had experience on
many transmitters at Collins. Originally Collins Field Service serviced all
equipment manufactured by Collins from audio consoles to 250 kW. HF Shortwave
transmitters and all in between. He has a wealth of knowlege gained from
exposure to the many products.

Dave
