The Weston is THE VU meter against which all others should be compared.

The Simpsons and Burlingtons on Ampex 400A/401As, 350s and 351s were very 
good, but still not as good as a Weston.

The Ampex 300 offered a Weston as an option.



There is a simple test for VU meter ballistics.
