In this instance, the women are college age. But that's not the point. 
Chuck, I would tell my daughter to stop crying and grow up. Being called 
names is small potatoes compared to life in the real world. And I would 
feel ashamed that I had done such a poor job raising my child that she 
can deal with stupid, ignorant people. Sure they are our kids, but if we 
don't allow them to grow up and teach them to deal with the real world, 
then they will remain children all of their lives.
