[BC] Imus Comedy record & Today show

I'm no fan of any of the folks involved from Imus to Sharpton, but I do think there is maybe just a bit of room for understanding WHY someone might be offended here, and why it's different for one group to say things about itself and another to say things about it, even if you're a fan of O'Reilly ;)  Think about how upset you get when a 'liberal' tells a 'conservative' joke.  It would be ok, if it was a 'conservative' telling it though, right?

There are places where you can tell a Polish joke and everyone laughs and there are places where you'll have your dupa pounded.  Polish people telling self-deprecating jokes is not insulting like someone else telling them is.  It doesn't really take a brain surgeon to understand that, does it?  Everyone knows at least one inappropriate joke and knows when NOT to tell it.

Imus would be a moron if he thought that he wasn't offending people, and he's not a moron.  I don't find him interesting in the least, but he's not a moron.  His presence nationwide makes the impact of his statement a much bigger 'incident' than if it was just heard in Paducah.  I don't understand why any of this is a shocker.

Jesse Jackson on TV last night, I forget if it was on Bill O'Reilly or Glenn
Beck, and when he was asked this very question, the tap-dance he performed
was quite entertaining. He said that "African-Americans shouldn't be saying
it either", but they DO, all the time, and no one calls them on it.

Bunch of hypocrites, just wanting air time, if you ask me.
