[BC] I think this has to do with Broadcasting...

I have a set of Sennheiser PXC 250 noise-cancelling headphones. They
fold for storage in a soft case about the size of a VHS cassette, and
I've never had problems going through airport security, either
domestic or international. Battery life is excellent; the
noise-cancelling knocks down the low-frequency components of "jet
noise" about 15 dB. (Higher-frequency components are attenuated by
the ear pad.)

I wear them switched on but unplugged when I'm trying to sleep on a
"redeye" flight. The two-prong adapter for aircraft seat jacks is
included, I use them also with an FM Walkman as well as a Yaesu VX-5
and haven't noticed any RFI problems. They are much cheaper than
Bose; I paid slightly over $100 a couple of years ago. For more
opinions, see the reviews on amazon.com
