************************Some of young guys may not know this but Don Imus was
a very entertaining top 40 radio jock for many many years. No filth, some
indirect things that and adult would understand but not thrash that kids would
pick up.

While at WGAR in Cleveland he was an early implementer of "prank" phone calls
while working morning drive.

Later he released a comedy album of his crank phone calls and other "bits":
he used on the air. As I recall it was called 1001 Hamburgers.

This morning he was on the Today show while simulcasting on CBS New York
and MSNBC. Al Sharpton was also on the today show from separate studios. In
one of Imus's responses, he responded to Sharpton as "Reverand Hargas" he
corrected it quickly.

On the album was a bit about "Holy Land Amusement Park" run by Reverand
Billy Sol " Hargas."

Also a guy named Jack Thayer GM at WGAR brought Imus from California to
Cleveland. Imus left Cleveland to work at WNBC, then a rocker. Within 12 months
Jack Thayer was General Manager of WNBC. At the R & R Convention in LA the
next year, Imus made the comment that "....you know you have made it BIG in
this busness when you can move to big time New York radio and bring your own
general manager with you."

Good Luck Don, Freedom of speech does not work always.

Dave
