This may be AF pretty quickly, but.. last night on NBC was a new comedy 
show. At one point a white male comic came out in costume; based on the 
costume, he made a remark that "I wish I'd been born in the 1800's.. 
great clothes!"

The (black male) host said not me - that wasn't a good time for our 
people, and made a few other remarks about slavery before moving on.

What if the white male had made a reference to slavery?! It would be all 
over the news this morning. Nothing at all, the way it played out.
