Russ and all the other transformer intelligentia on this list.
I have in my hands an assembly containing two HAMMOND
(made in Canada) transformers which show an apparent model
number MRI 3002. I was told by a very respected engineer that
they were an equal or better substitute for the WE-111 transformer.
They certainly are smaller in physical size.
Your comments please.
Hello Bob:
I am aware of that manufacturer however, have not had any recallable
experience with the products. Is this in a line amplifier?
The 111C was a brute force product that really did a great job for what it
was intended in its time.
I marvel at those who make claims that we have a newer, smaller less costly
model, that when those products are placed under the scrutiny of a proper
microscope, often have serious shortcomings that the builder never even thought
of!
That is my age and experience showing....
