It was pointed out earlier that the low-end power-handling
capability is a function of size (among other things).  While
your transformers may very well be amazing in performance 
frequency-response wise, a smaller unit will typically have 
distortion problems as we go down in test frequency at a
given power level.

Outside of that single caveat, I would trust your advisor.
