Bob is right about this. Many Jensen transformers are designed to have a
Bessel response which makes them excellent choices where minimum overshoot
is desired. Depending on type they are extremely wideband and can be used
for composite use. We too used a Jensen output transformer many years ago in
a prototype stereo generator for the same purpose to isolate the generator
from the load. While this transformer wasn't specifically designed for this
use it worked well owing to a Bessel low pass characteristic.

There are Jensen transformers that can outperform a 111-C, like the one we
use in our composite isolation transformer. But the 111-C was indeed an
excellent transformer and could pass composite, although not with the same
high frequency stereo separation as the Jensen.
