Ok, I didn't intend to sound harsh in my question, but after seeing many of 
the following type of messages, all with an AOL return address:

I was genuinely curious. I see from your response that in your case (the
email account provider being somewhat of a pain), I can see some benefits.

That's it, nothing more. I'll see if a different tone next time might
be more productive, and less confrontational.
