Did you actually check their numbers and consider the references they
cited?  Much of the supporting evidence came from a study funded by
GM, ExxonMobil, BP, and Shell -- their opponents.  And they chose to
compare the overall efficiency of their vehicle against a 51mpg Civic
VX, not an average American car.

We've been fed so much biased crap by politicians and lobbyists in
recent years that I can understand why you would automatically suspect
Tesla's arguments are false.  However, the arguments in this paper
appear to be quite objective.
