Thirteen to eighteen years ago, at the Federated Media
station in Grand Rapids, MI, we ran around 300 sales remotes
a year, at $ 2500 each. We had three vehicular repeaters
with three remote receiver sites. The competition complained
because they wanted to do pay phone remotes.
They finally won when they bought WCUZ out. Within 30 days,
all the remote gear was ripped out.

p.s., One reason they sold so well is we worked very hard to
drive customers, not DJ fans to to paying client.
