Peter, our files and interviews regarding KVI, which are rather extensive,
do not indicate that KVI was every licensed to Vashon Island, Washington.
If you have some documentation, we would like to add it to our archives.
The transmitter was near Kent before it moved to the Island in an effort to
get improved coverage of Seattle so that they could become the sole CBS
affiliate for the Tacoma-Seattle area.
The call letters were KVI long before they moved the transmitter to Vashon.
