(90 deg. radiator, similar  condcutivity).
50KW on 550 is akin to 1MW on 1500.

HUGE  difference.

I think the AM 50 kW. should all have the same coverage area like FM and  the 
three TV band.  Adjust the input power to achieve the field strength at  one 
mile, based on conductivty. If they are on 540 kHz. or 1550 kHz.
