TELEVISION MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - Job# 25181

Qualifications: Five years experience in broadcast television 
electronics and computer installation/maintenance or equivalency, to 
include working knowledge of schematics, test equipment and 
associated electronic equipment required. Associate=s degree in 
Electronics and experience in maintaining and operating broadcast 
television systems (Broadcast tape formats, Video Servers, Analog and 
Digital Switching and Routing systems, Automation systems,) strongly 
preferred.  Knowledge of Windows, UNIX and Mac platforms and Computer 
networking preferred.  Knowledge of video (analog and digital) 
telecommunications delivery and troubleshooting methods (microwave, 
CATV distribution, Ethernet, fiber optics) methods preferred.

Duties: Install, test, document, and maintain studio and broadcast 
television equipment. Perform preventive and responsive maintenance 
with a minimum of system down time utilizing a wide variety of 
electronic test equipment such as: voltmeters, waveform monitors, 
vectorscopes, spectrum analyzers, digital transport stream analyzers, 
and hand and machine tools.  Communicate and coordinate maintenance 
efforts between staff in various departments. Recommend improvements 
in software, hardware, communication, maintenance, and servicing 
methods to increase the overall performance of the system. Keep up 
with new technologies in communication.  Provide video shading and 
engineering support for various in house productions.

May require unconventional work hours in conjunction with activities 
at night or weekends
