Yep it was Hans.  I had serial #1 of the FM8000, it was the demo unit at 
the NAB that year.  MM had to send us the type acceptance label after 
the exciter arrived.  Worked pretty well, sounded good, but the 
oscillator could lose lock once in a while, it was the air variable caps 
IIRC.
