Remember the AP teletype machines - with the bell they could "ding"
for big stories. I recall working at a public radio station in the
late 1970's, and the AP would "ding" that bell for all kinds of weak
"news alerts". I heard the bell "dinging" quite a few times one
Saturday morning - and the big news alert was a story about who won a
golf tournament!

No difference between the AP then and FOX News now.
