I know what kind of broadcaster you are and there are no issues that you
serve the public interest. There are many many stations out there that do
the same.
I also have no problem with posting a public file on the internet, but some
basic regulations need to be met here as well.
What I do have a problem with is the attitude of some broadcasters that wish
the whole "public interest" idea would just go away. We can own as many as
we want, move them where we want, put on anything we want. These are unfit
broadcasters who usually get what's coming to them when the fuzz comes into
town and finds EAS and Public File violations. There are more than a few of
these in this area.
EAS (which needs a major makeover) and Public File are usually signs of a
deeper problem at these stations that need to be addressed. If the FCC had
any kind of backbone, it would remove some of these unfit broadcasters.
