Let's start at the tower. Change frequency, change tower
groundwave efficiency and vertical radiation characteristic.
Change transmission line electrical length and attenuation.
Change L & C reactances.

I consulted for one Class IV station that lowered height by 5
feet and the FCC required a new nighttime study due to the
vertical radiation change. They wanted the new tower to be
unlit.

 > I guess if we had a tower that was an adjustable height,  we could
estimate
 > the height for frequency,  measure the tower R and +-j at that  height
look at
 > its plot and plot it on the Smith chart and if the bandwidth  isn't
correct,
 > raise the tower 2 feet make the measurments again, if no  better, lower
the
 > tower two feet and do the same and if a trend either way was  looking
better
 > then raise or lower the height for best load and symmetry as  measured.
Then
 > weld up the tower.
 > Thats based on no FAA or zoning problems and a telescoping tower.
