[BC] A good use for Barry Manilow?

Once upon a time while still a broadcaster I owned a "record" store
(remember them).  I learned two important things while doing so
(unfortunately about the only two things I learned, or I might have kept
it open longer).

1-when getting rid of clearance items, don't arrange them neatly, dump
them in a bin and people are much more interested in the items.

2-when attempting to clear the store of rowdies, put classical music on
the in store sound system.  It either calmed them down or got them to
leave the premises.

Is this the anti-hip-hop? I wonder how setting up loudspeakers outside a
hip-hop station would affect the crime rate nearby? Maybe even pipe the
stuff into the station's lobby? Could cut down on the shootings, ya
think?
