[BC] WFXL TV Tower

Mikie...they (WALB and WFXL) are both owned by the same
company....Raycom

When the F15 hit the WMBB-TV tower (1800ft) in the late 80's, the US
Air Force paid through the nose for a new tower, transmitter and antenna
for WMBB-TV, new transmitter and antenna for WPAP-FM (they rented space
at the 1500 ft level) and the microwave relay for WFSG-TV (PBS).....a
military group dealing with AFRTS out of San Diego negotiated with the
stations on the Air Force's behalf.

I would put my money on the government footing the bill on this one
too....they were the ultimate cause.

Good questions about who will pay.

The military will probable try and succeed on not paying a dime.

WFXL's insurance will pay for their tower, and I would venture that
their liability >may< pay for WALB's.

But since WALB's collapse was intentional, although unintended and a
result of WFXL's actions. They may refuse to pay for a WALB replacement.

Leaving WALB's insurance paying for their tower and trying to recover
money from WFXL.

My guess is the lawyers will sort it out :-)

No legal training here...just opinion.
