 From a consumer standpoint this is already happening.  Fewer & fewer 
buyers are willing to pay $18 for a CD with 2 good songs on it...with 
broadband so common these days it's easier to just download the songs you 
want (whether from a legit site or a file-sharing service) or borrow the CD 
from the library & make a copy.  Alas, the record companies are treating 
the symptom (alleged piracy), not the problem (which is perceived poor 
value for their product).
