I put one together (Bauer 707) in my garage in about 1966, or 1967 for KRKC
in King City, CA. I think it is still on the air!
40 years!

I have never heard one, but a NAB Convention veteran friend of mine did see
a secretary assemble one on the NAB floor.

To this day, I have yet to hear an AM Xmtr that can match the incredible
"clarity" of the Bauer 707 . Perhaps I'm deaf in one ear and can't hear out
of the other, but there is was something special about that xmtr. Was
available in a "kit form" they tell me. Anyone here have any thoughts on
what made it unique ???
