[BC] Baking a sta-Level?...

Bake the Sta-Level, huh? Well, I guess it's my fault for not checking the
list for a few days. I've seen all the comments since this while searching
for this one. What a bunch of comedians! Some of you guys have inhaled too
much solder smoke!
The tape, you guys, the tape! Have you ever had to bake an old tape before
playing it? Usually that last chance to dub it to some form of media that
isn't quite as old as I am? Surely I'm not the only geezer that knows about
baking tape?
FWIW, baking tape is usually better with Scotch. How old should the Scotch
be? Oh, I don't know. At least as old as some of my Ampex or Maxell tapes.
It may take a while but most of you will "get it."
I hope everyone and their transmitters have a good day!
Best Regards,

Why should you have to bake a Sta-Level before playing a tape through it?
