I checked with the FCC some time back to find out when their STA expired. I
was told that the STA expired on June 20, 2004. Since that time they often
seem to "forget" to turn off IBOC at night, mostly on weekends. It really
tears up our local 5 kw station on 830 kHz. It's unlistenable at my house, 6
miles from the transmitter, when KXNT is running nighttime IBOC. My received
field strength for the local station on its nighttime pattern should be 13.2
mV/M.
