I had a 816 Continental in a Non Air Conditioned room, cooled my outside
air only.
Room temps in August in South Texas would reach 115 to 120, add Tx heat and
you could see over 200 out the top of the Transmitter into the exhaust vent.
The Final check on tuning was AC Mains current and TX Exhaust temp.
If Tx PA Efficiency, looked OK everything else usually fell in place.

Its been 10 years since I was at that TX site and I don't miss it at all.
