I remember going for a job as CE of a TV station in Chico, CA. The GM 
was in the middle of a panic attack when I arrived and kept me waiting 
for over an hour after I had driven nearly 9 hours to get there. The PD 
said he had these regularly. They needed some one who could get them 
back into a "normal" mode of operation. They'd taken a lightning hit on 
their tower and the transmission line looked like someone had taken a 
can opener to it. When I found out that they had let the previous CE go 
because he was blamed for the lightning hit, I didn't think I wanted to 
work there either.
